How Ranklur Was Built
We saw the same confidence in the first month and the same empty promises in the sixth month of working with agencies, which resulted in another automatic contract renewal. It became clear to us that even the most reputed agencies we hired for our startups provided us with more spreadsheets than actual ranking opportunities.
That is why in 2021 we decided to found Ranklur and started to build it as a link-placement agency for SaaS. The very nature of this business implies transparency: if nothing has changed in terms of domain authority and keywords in the first three quarters, it becomes apparent that nothing has changed at all.
The first two years of work were spent building relationships with more than 1,500 software publishers, developing reporting formats, and learning about the specifics of each link placement. When we became confident in the quality of our work, clients started to come to us not only for link building but also for technical SEO, visibility consulting, and even SaaS product development.
At the moment, we provide end-to-end SEO services, from link placements to technical auditing, under the same brand name. We have an individual strategist for each client to ensure the highest quality of results. We follow an asynchronous distributed model across multiple time zones, with a concentration of full-time team members in Massachusetts. You can always rely on someone being available within your working hours for real-time communication.
More than 20 specialists in link building, strategy, content creation, technical SEO, AI SEO, and product engineering. Our teams are lean but deep.
We do not subcontract any work. We follow an in-house-only policy. When we need to scale, we can hire senior specialists directly, instead of outsourcing to a network of contractors.
Across 24 months of operations, we have achieved a 96% retention rate. This outcome primarily reflects our rigorous screening during the qualification process, rather than any inherent issue with our service.
We only accept around 40% of inbound sales requests. The reasons for this include overlap with our target sectors, insufficient budget, the founder's pre-product or non-revenue status, expectations of gray hat methods, and alignment with our values.
